Professional Activities

The DLMF project

I am the Mathematical Editor of the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions, which is the successor to Abramowitz and Stegun's Handbook of Mathematical Functions. I have also written the following chapters: hypergeometric functions, confluent hypergeometric functions , and generalized hypergeometric functions .

1989-1994: I did my PhD research at CWI in Amsterdam, under the supervision of Dr N. M. Temme. I got my PhD degree from the University of Amsterdam in 1993.

Previous Employment

Since September 1995: Lecturer in the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.

1995 January-June: Participant in the international workshop in exponential asymptotics at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at Cambridge University

1994-1995: Post-Doc at the University of Maryland.
