Postdoctoral Research Associate in algebraic and/or symplectic geometry

The post is full time and is available from 1st September 2016, or a mutually agreed date, for a 24 month fixed term contract.

The position is funded from an EPSRC First Grant "Universal Moduli of Bundles on Curves" of Johan Martens. This project will explore new connections between degenerations of moduli spaces of bundles, symplectic vortices, and geometric quantization; candidates will have a wide range of possible directions in which they could contribute. In addition, he or she will be encouraged to pursue his/her own, and newly arising research questions.

More information about our thriving groups in algebra and geometry can be found at the Hodge Institute website.

Informal enquiries are encouraged; please contact Johan Martens by email: johan.martens@ed.ac.uk.
