Andreia Chapouto awarded the Edinburgh Mathematical Society PhD Thesis prize 2023
Our former student (and a current postdoc at the school), Andreia Chapouto, has been awarded the Edinburgh Mathematical Society PhD Thesis Prize 2023 for her outstanding thesis "Low regularity well-posedness of the modified and the generalized Korteweg-de Vries equations", supervised under Tadahiro Oh. This prize is a bi-annual prize given to the best thesis in Scotland for the past two years across the fields of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical physics, and statistics. Our colleague, Leonardo Tolomeo, was awarded this prize in 2021.Congratulations, Andreia!!
