Accelerated Knowledge Transfer to Innovate (AKT2I) grant results published
The outcomes of Goncalo dos Reis' Accelerated Knowledge Transfer to Innovate (AKT2I) grant have been published online. This programme was designed to create short-term collaborations between a Business Partner and a UK Knowledge Base to rapidly inject innovation capacity.
Ember Core Ltd, the UK's first all-electric intercity bus company, sought to develop a vehicle scheduling model and, through this scheme they were able to access the skills of academics with the necessary mathematical rigour. Simultaneously, Ember provided real-world data and constraints to refine the applicability of our research. The model will be deployed as the company's core decision making engine.
