Integrating twizzlers: new article published by student
Former Edinburgh student Nick Edelen has just published a paper, entitled "Constant mean curvature, flux conservation, and symmetry", based on work that he did during a summer project at the end of his third year here. This paper involved looking at surfaces of constant mean curvature, such as 'twizzlers' - pictured left. Nick travelled to Indiana University, Bloomington, to work with Bruce Solomon as part of a 2011 REU summer project, and is now a graduate student at Stanford University. We would like to congratulate Nick on his achievements.
