Jim Wright Awarded Leverhulme Research Fellowship
Jim Wright has been awarded a Leverhulme Research Fellowship entitled "Polynomial Ergodic Theorems". Jim, and his collaborators at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Rutgers University, King's College and Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, aim to make significant progress on a far-reaching difficult problem in pointwise ergodic theory known as the Furstenberg-Bergelson-Leibman conjecture which asserts the almost everywhere existence for general multilinear, multiparameter polynomial ergodic averages on bounded functions.
