Funding grant successes
Congratulations are due to the following members of staff who have been awarded prestigious research grants:
- Agata Smoktunowicz has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant worth over £1m for the project “Combinatorial methods in noncommutative ring theory”. Two postdocs and a PhD student will also work on this project.
- Michael Wemyss has been awarded an EPSRC early career fellowship worth over £0.75m for the project “The Homological Minimal Model Program”. A postdoc will also work on this project.
- Aram Karakhanyan and Peter Richtarik have both been awarded EPSRC First grants for projects “Monotonicity Formula Methods for Nonlinear PDEs” and “Coordinate Descent Methods for Big Data Problems” respectively.
