Professional Experience

Before moving to the UK I was employed by the:
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2012‒2016): Assistant Professor (2012‒2015) and Associate Professor (2016).
École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (2010‒2012): Post-Doctoral Fellow and Lecturer.
Banco de Portugal (2009‒2010): Visiting researcher at the Portuguese Central Bank.
Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2009): where I started lecturing.
In an attempt to sharpen my applied skills, and my problem-solving abilities, I have also been developing some consulting on statistical modeling on the side (2004‒∞).

According to QS World University Rankings 2016‒2017, PUC Chile is ranked 4th in South America; the University of Edinburgh and EPFL are respectively ranked as 19th and 14th in the world.
