Programme grant awarded
Congratulations to Iain Gordon, Arend Bayer and Agata Smoktunowicz and more generally to the Hodge Institute, who together with Michael Wemyss in Glasgow and Tom Bridgeland in Sheffield have been awarded an EPSRC Programme Grant on "Enhancing Representation Theory, Noncommutative Algebra And Geometry Through Moduli, Stability And Deformations". This a major grant lasting 6 years that brings 6 postdocs to the team and a great deal of support for other activities including workshops, visitors and outreach. This is the first ever programme grant with algebra at its heart and the first in the Mathematical Sciences in Scotland.
