Lucas Buzaglo

I am a fourth year PhD student at the University of Edinbugh, working under the supervision of Susan Sierra. My interests lie in the intersection of noncommutative ring theory and Lie theory. I have mainly studied enveloping algebras of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras from a ring theoretic perspective, but I am also interested in Lie algebraic properties of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras. For more information, see my research page and my MathSciNet profile.

I am a member of the Structure and Symmetry group at the Hodge Institute. I was also part of the first cohort of GlaMS (Glasgow-Maxwell School PhD Training Centre in Algebraic Structures).

In the 2021-22 academic year, Hannah Dell and I were the organisers of Hodge Club, the seminar for Hodge Institute graduate students and postdocs.

Before starting my PhD in Edinburgh, I completed an MMath at the University of Oxford.
