I am a PhD student majoring in Statistics at University of Edinburgh. I had worked at Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), the financial market regulator in South Korea for 12 years as an investigator into financial frauds such as stock manipulation and insider trading. In 2016, I came to Edinburgh via a postgraduate training program with the support from the FSS. Now I am on leave from work to complete my PhD studies since 2018.

Thesis title: Statistical learning methods for fraud detection.
