Research Interests(1) Exponential asymptotics for linear and nonlinear ordinary and partial diﬀerential equations, diﬀerence equations and integrals with saddles. A possible project. (2) Uniform asymptotic expansions. (3) The computation of special functions.

Cristopher Foley has ﬁnished his PhD on Exponential Asymptotics in Wave Propagation Problems in October 2013.

The DLMF project
I am the Mathematical Editor of the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions, which is the successor to Abramowitz and Stegun's Handbook of Mathematical Functions. I have also written the following chapters: hypergeometric functions, confluent hypergeometric functions , and generalized hypergeometric functions .
1983-1989: Mathematics at the Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
1989-1994: I did my PhD research at CWI in Amsterdam, under the supervision of Dr N. M. Temme. I got my PhD degree from the University of Amsterdam in 1993.
1995 January-June: Participant in the international workshop in exponential asymptotics at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at Cambridge University
1994-1995: Post-Doc at the University of Maryland.
1993-1994: Post-Doc at the University of Oxford.
