My work experience includes academia, government, NGOs, and private industry: 18+ years in academia (Reader at University of Edinburgh, School of Mathematics--since 2018; Senior Lecturer at University of St Andrews; and Assistant then Associate Professor at University of Idaho), 11 years in US federal government (Mathematical Statistician in US Fish & Wildlife Service, 5 years for a NGO (Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission). And about 2 years of field data collection with Private Industry and US Forest Service.
