Research Interests

I have developed Bayesian methods in agriculture, particularly for the optimum choice of variety, fertilizer level and seed rate for cereals, taking account of local conditions such as soil nitrogen and latitude.

Other Bayesian interests include modelling dietary data that have large proportions of zeros, and calibration of polymerase chain reaction technology for measuring contamination by micro-organisms.

I am currently working on the design of sequential sensory and neuroimaging experiments.
