Postdoctoral Position Available: Applied Mathematics/Applied Probability

Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Researcher in applied mathematics/applied probability. The post is available from 1 August 2015, or a mutually agreed date, for a 36-month fixed-term contract.

The post is funded from an ONR grant on "Path-space information theory for improving Lagrangian predictions", awarded to Michal Branicki. The research topic will focus on new approaches to improving probabilistic predictions of multi-scale dynamical systems through information-theoretic techniques, particularly investigating connections between Eulerian uncertainties in the underlying flow maps and corresponding path-space functionals given by appropriate Lagrangian observables.
