Student-designed website Path wins Award for Excellence

An online course selection tool, Path, has been awarded the UCISA (Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association) Award for Excellence http://www.ed.ac.uk/news/staff/2015/path-award-060315. Path was created by Mathematics undergraduate students Paul Horrocks and Greg Tyler in 2012 to help their peers decide which mathematics courses to take for their degree programmes, and it has since been rolled out successfully across the whole University. The UCISA were particularly impressed at how the system had gone from being a student developed prototype to a fully functional and user-friendly service, and also that it had the facility to incorporate student feedback to help inform the selection of courses.

Congratulations to Paul and Greg for their great work!
