Three Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions in Pure Mathematics Available

Applications are invited for three Postdoctoral Research Associate positions in algebraic geometry, representation theory and topology.  The posts are available from 1st August 2016 or a mutually agreed date.

The positions are funded from the ERC grants “Wall-crossing and birational geometry” of Arend Bayer and “The quantum geometric Langlands topological field theory” of David Jordan.  Candidates will have a wide range of possible directions in which they could contribute, and in addition they will also be encouraged to pursue their own, and newly arising, research questions.

The appointees will join a thriving algebra and geometry group in Edinburgh and will become a member of the Hodge Institute.  The starting salary will be in the range of £31,342 - £37,394 depending on experience.

For more details, including how to apply, see Bayer vacancy ref 034537, Jordan vacancy ref 034538 and Jordan vacancy ref 034539.  The closing date is 5pm GMT, 1 December 2015.

Informal enquiries are encouraged; please contact arend.bayer@ed.ac.uk or d.jordan@ed.ac.uk.
