Enrolment opens for School's Massive Open Online Course

Enrolment is now open for the School's new Massive Open Online Course, Statistics: Unlocking the World of Data. The course, which starts on the 11th January 2016, is a free, six-week introduction to the key ideas and concepts of statistics. No mathematics knowledge, other than secondary school mathematics, is needed to take the course, which aims to be an engaging and practical introduction to statistics.

The course design was led by Mairi Walker, Mathematics Engagement Officer, alongside Ruth King, Thomas Bayes' Chair of Statistics, and Chris Sangwin, Professor of Technology Enhanced Science Education, and is the product of months of hard work. You can find out more about the course on the course website and you can sign up here.
