Lectureships in Probability and/or Financial Mathematics

Applications are invited for up to two permanent lectureships in Probability and/or in Financial Mathematics. We expect candidates to have either an established record of first-class research or to be able to demonstrate excellent research potential. For a lectureship in Probability, expertise in stochastic analysis and its applications is a priority. For a lectureship in Financial Mathematics, expertise in computational finance and/or in time series econometrics is desirable. Candidates are expected to carry out high quality mathematical research and to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Probability and in Financial Mathematics.

The closing date for applications is 5pm GMT on 7 November 2013 and interviews will be held during the period 2 to 3 December 2013. The posts are available at a mutually agreed date from 1 June 2014.

Salary Scale: £37,382 - £44,607 per annum. Exceptionally appointment may be to Senior Lecturer/Reader level for which the salary scale is £47,314 - £53,233.
