Undergraduate mathematics student awarded prestigious summer school scholarship

Analia Cabello Cano, who is currently in year 3 of the MMath programme, was awarded a fully-funded place on the PCMI 2022 Undergraduate Summer School on Number Theory Informed by Computation ran by the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Applications to the summer school are highly competitive and open to students from across the globe. The summer school lasts three weeks and is held in Park City, Utah; there will be a lecture series on the fundamentals of crytography and the chance to work with other students and professional mathematicians on related research topics.

In addition, Analia was also awarded one of (at most) 6 fully-funded internships in the Department of Statisics at the University of Oxford to work on the statistical research project Bayesian Neural Function Representations for Medical Imaging. The internship lasts eight weeks, with accommodation provided at one of Oxford's colleges.

Congratulations Analia!
