It was announced this morning that the Mathematical Sciences will receive an extra £300M of funding over the next 5 years.

This money will be spread widely across the community, with in particular additional funding for PhD studentships, doubling the amount invested already; increased funds for fellowships and projects, as well as a new small grants fund; and funds for mathematical infrastructure that includes ICMS right at its heart, recognising the key role it plays in the UK.
