PhD students from the Optimization and Operational Research group have reached the finals for the INFORMS competition "fORgedbyMachines"

Based on the recommendation of a committee, consisting of Drs. John Carlsson (USC), Anton Kleywegt (GaTech) and Mauricio Resende (Amazon), two teams of PhD students from the Optimization and Operational Research group have reached the finals for the INFORMS competition "fORgedbyMachines"! The teams have been invited to present their work at the event on Saturday the 7th of November. They will then have 20 minutes for their presentations, before the judges choose the overall winner, runner-up, and honourable mention.

One of the teams is formed of Bárbara Rodrigues & Malte Billen, and the other of Alexandra Blennerhassett & Saranthorn Phusingha (Mook); all four being in the OOR PhD programme and graduates of the OR MSc programme!
