Maths student wins William Darling Memorial Prize

Martina Matrtajová, a 4th year undergraduate in Mathematics and Business, has been awarded the prestigious William Darling Memorial Prize by the University of Edinburgh. This Prize is "to be awarded to such student in the University of Edinburgh, who, in the opinion of the Principal of that University, shall have done in any year most to advance or enhance the reputation of the University."

Martina has worked tirelessly as a member of the School of Mathematics Outreach Team, taking mathematical ideas to wider audiences (both within and outwith the University) and inspiring other students with her enthusiasm.

She will now be continuing her studies with an MSc at the University of Warwick, and we hope she continues her amazing outreach. Congratulations Martina!
