Simon Wood to give plenary lecture at the SIAM Uncertainty Quantification conference

Simon Wood is giving an invited plenary lecture on inference with Covid models at the SIAM Uncertainty Quantification conference 2022 in Atlanta.

The talk is entitled: 'Structural Uncertainty Matters: How Strong Modelling Assumptions Misled on the Role of Lockdowns in the UK Covid-19 Epidemic' and focuses particularly on work in 2 papers in Biometrics and PLoS1 (links below) as well as results from the ONS and REACT-2 statistical surveillance surveys.
