University Teacher in Mathematics

The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a University Teacher.

This is a fixed-term position, focussing mainly on teaching across a range of mathematical topics, but with opportunities to take part in the world class research activities in our School.The duties allocated will be dependent on the expertise of the appointee and will include delivering effective teaching to undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate programmes. The role will also include involvement in assessment of students, helping to develop existing courses and programmes where this is appropriate, and teaching related administration. It is expected that the postholder will engage with the research activities of the School relevant to them.

A PhD in Mathematics and experience of teaching mathematics at University level is essential, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective team working, communication and interpersonal skills.

This post is full time and fixed term for two years.

Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum.
