Operational Research Consulting Unit

The  Operational Research Consultancy Unit (ORCU) is a growing unit of the University of Edinburgh’s School of Mathematics. We provide an efficient means for external organisations to identify and link to the diverse expertise in operational research at the School.  Please contact us to discuss how the ORCU could work with your organisation.

General Academic Consultancy

In addition to the units above, many of our academics engage in direct consultancy activity with external organisations, helping them investigate complex ideas and provide advice on new activities. The scope and scale of this is very broad; working with partners such as the Scottish Fire Service, Public Health Wales, National Grid and NTT Data and lasting from a few days to several months of engagement.
