Test Case Archive of Optimal Power Flow (OPF) Problems with Local Optima

Data Format

This test archive consists of three things:

• Test Cases

  All the test cases are in MATPOWER[1] case format. MATPOWER is a free open source package of MATLAB® M-files for solving power flow (PF) and optimal power flow(OPF) problems. A free copy of MATPOWER can be downloaded on this link. Since MATPOWER is MATLAB® based so a copy of MATLAB® would be required to use this package. • Data for local solutions of Test Cases

  The data of local solutions is made available in three different file formats namely MAT, CSV and TXT. MAT is MATLAB's internal data format. You can load this data in matlab by load command. The data is in structure. See 'How to use this archive' for more information about the contents these MAT files. CSV files are readable and can be opened in any editor or spreadsheet package. TXT data can be opened in any editor or in a internet browser.

• Test Cases Diagrams

  The diagrams are in PDF format and are made using a graphing package yEd.
