Backgroud Information
- I am a fourth year PhD student at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh and the Maxwell Institute. My supervisor is Prof Jared Tanner and my work is in Compressed Sensing. I am part of the Applied and Computational Mathematics Research Group and the Edinburgh Compressed Sensing Group.
- I am a co-founder, holding offices of President (2011) and Vice President (2010), of the Edinburgh SIAM Student Chapter, which is a pan-Edinburgh chapter with a joint membership from University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University.
- I am from The Gambia and I did my BSc at the University of The Gambia in Mathematics and Physics. I worked there as a Graduate Assistant before I went to do my MSc at Oxford University (Wolfson College) in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing.
- Besides academic work, I enjoy watching and playing football (soccer) and watching movies and documentaries.
- My photo was taken at FORT DU PETIT BÉ on a small island outside Saint Malo (France).
