Congratulations to Stephen Harris and Amy Wilson, who were elected as the new PG representatives on 29th September.

The Microwave's Lament
Dear students of the common room I've noticed that of late
My dark mysterious innards have reached quite a sorry state
With rusting of my metal and foul stains upon my plate
And while I know that all transgressors aren't postgraduate
I need your help to keep my rays of wavelength ten point eight
So give your time (just now and then - to wipe and spray and clean)
Restore my culinary brilliance, and sheen
My self esteem has nose-dived since the PGrep election
A travesty of voting - surely that deserves correction?
Notwithstanding with incumbents' work which I'm told is perfection
Your efforts will pay homage to the great men whose work bore me
The giants: names like Heaviside, with Helmholtz and Marconi
And nevermore will I be filled with burnt out macaroni
My call to you, you all will heed; for certain I can foretell
In love for me you named your building after Mr Maxwell
I hope that I will never be again a blackened shell
