The Graduate School of Mathematics is a part of the School of Mathematics, which is a part of the College of Science and Engineering, which is a part of the University of Edinburgh.
The Graduate School is responsible for students doing research degrees: Ph.D. or the M.Sc. by Research. If you are interested in taught postgraduate degrees: the M.Sc. in Mathematics, the M.Sc. in Operational Researech or the M.Sc. in Financial Mathematics please visit the MSc website .
PG is the standard University of Edinburgh abbreviation for postgraduate. There are currently over 50 PG students in the Graduate School, working for PhD.s in all areas of mathematics.

Applications for Postgraduate Research study are now being considered for September 2012 admission.
Admission applications should be received by the School of Mathematics by the 31st of January 2012
in order to be considered for all possible funding sources. Please note that applications submitted now
for September 2012 entry will not be actively considered until November 2011.
