Aims of Workshop

The main aim of the workshop LIWAN-2008 is to introduce non-specialist
researchers in physics, engineering and applied mathematics to the required
background and current research on nonlinear guided waves in soft matter,
such as liquid crystals. The workshop will discuss future research directions
in the area. It is anticipated that the workshop will lead to new research
collaborations, particularly between Indian researchers and researchers from
overseas countries.
