Mathematical Aspects of String Theory

The Erwin Schrödinger Institute hosted an 11-week programme on Mathematical Aspects of String Theory from September 3 to November 16 2001.

During this time, the Erwin Schrödinger Institute provided a stimulating environment for mathematicians and physicists working on string theory to exchange ideas and collaborate at the highest scientific level. In addition to various sets of introductory lectures, there was a relaxed schedule of seminars by the participants. See the programme and the schedule for more details.

The programme concentrated primarily on noncommutative geometry, mathematical aspects of D-branes (including mirror symmetry and K-theory) and geometrical aspects of the AdS/CFT correspondence.

In this website you can find the latest information about this programme.
