About meI am a PhD student in the School of Mathematics of the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Dr. Ivan Cheltsov. My second supervisor is Dr. Michael Wemyss. I started in September 2009. I was funded by Fundacion Caja Madrid. Now I am funded by EPSRC and the School of Mathematics. My interests are in Fano varieties, minimal model program techniques, birational rigidity, toric varieties and log canonical thresolds. I have a fairly good background in Complex Differential Geometry. With my office mates Spiros and Ciaran I organised for a year and a half the Geometry Club. In my free time I enjoy going hiking, listening to music, dancing and watching and doing (clay) films. I am also a scout. I mantain a blog, Travels Through Flatland in Mathematics and travels that I mainly update when I am travelling for mathematical reasons Contact
