Asymptotics and Special functions. Specific topics include:

hyperasymptotics for integrals;
hyperasymptotics for linear and nonlinear ode's;
uniform asymptotic expansions;
the computation of special functions;

Publications

The DLMF project

I am writing three chapters for the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions, which will be the successor to Abramowitz and Stegun's Handbook of Mathematical Functions. The chapters are: hypergeometric functions, confluent hypergeometric functions, and generalized hypergeometric functions.
