For each degree programme we offer, there are some compulsory courses and some options. Unless you are following an accelerated programme and taking direct entry to second year, you will normally take courses outside mathematics for half your load in Year 1 and about one third in Year 2. It is also possible to take a small number of outside courses in later years.
Students taking combined degrees will normally spend equal amounts of time on each of their principal subjects.
The Path. web pages, developed by some of our undergraduate students, give a good overview of the structure of our mathematics degrees and the content of the different courses. See EASE login to gain access.
Full details of the regulations for each degree and of individual courses can be found at University Degree Specifications.
The list of available mathematics options in the later years will give you a good idea of the large range of topics that feature in our programmes.
