Cancer research in the New York Times

Mathematician and cancer researcher Tibor Antal has had his latest paper discussed in an article written by Carl Zimmer in the New York Times. In the paper, Antal and his colleagues use mathematical models to show why targeted cancer treatments can still result in a regression of the cancer within a short space of time.  Moreover, they show how using multiple cancer drugs simultaneously can dramatically reduce the chances of the cancer returning, thus giving new ideas to cancer experts and new hope to cancer sufferers.
