Centre for Statistics launch event
The University of Edinburgh is establishing a new Centre for Statistics (CfS), which is being spearheaded by the School of Mathematics, although the Centre will span across all three colleges within the university, uniting statisticians and quantitative researchers working in different areas. To mark the start of the Centre, a launch event for the afternoon of November 6th is planned. The launch event will take place in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre in the Medical School (Room 425, Doorway 3) and will feature a mixture of introductory talks about the vision for the Centre and research talks highlighting statistical research activity from across the University and affiliated research groups.
