The University format rules apply also to a first-year report, but a declaration and binding are not required.
If you do not already know LaTeX, you can attend the University LaTeX course
or learn from online notes.
In any case, attend the University course
on writing and submitting a thesis.
The School thesis/report styles
All School computers have LaTeX installed.
The School has a uniform LaTeX style file edmaths.sty
for reports and theses, which satisfies the University
format rules. See edmaths.html for the
documentation further details. The style file should be
downloaded and placed in your working directory (= folder),
i.e. where you keep your .tex file. If necessary, download
setspace.sty also, and place it in your working directory (= folder).
