Research Interests

Applications of mathematics to fluid dynamics, in particular to the dynamics of the atmosphere and oceans. Specific topics include wave propagation, instabilities, wave-flow interactions, and transport and mixing. These are studied using asymptotic techniques, numerical simulations, stochastic models and dynamical-system methods.
