Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral position in the area of mathematical biology. The position will be based at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh, and is available to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will join the Edinburgh Applied and Computational Mathematics research group and will work with Dr. Lyubov Chumakova on the project funded by the Leverhulme Trust “Dynamic Self-Organization of Stochastic Intracellular Transport”.
This project is in collaboration with the experimental biology lab of Dr. Natalia Bulgakova, University of Sheffield.
Applicants will have completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics or a related field, will demonstrate outstanding research potential and be highly motivated. An ideal candidate will have a documented expertise and research record in stochastic numerical methods, analysis of PDEs and dynamical systems. The applicant will demonstrate excellent programming skills (Matlab, C++, or equivalent). The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly independent, and committed to research in a fast-moving and competitive field.

Salary: £32,548 - £38,833 per annum depending on experience.
