Wedding of Agnès and Julian

Honeymoon... not

With the weather in the Rhône valley getting hotter by the day, it was good to head off to the hills of the Diois to the south-east of Valence. We had booked a pair of gîtes in the village of La Jarjatte. The first night we were just Agnès, Julian, Lucie, John, Patricia, Phil and Elsie. However, later in the week the numbers increased and one evening we were fourteen for dinner. Some honeymoon!

As well as small walks in the valley, there were several trips to the nearest crag where Agnès, Julian, Phil, Elsie, Géraldine, Claudine and Blandine did some quite nice climbing. The same long walk was done on consecutive days by Ken and Maija, Kate and Nigel and, finally getting a day on their own, by Agnès and Julian.
